Feline Fun ‘Pussy Cats Xylo Disco’ – Electro Dance Fun For Pussy Lovers Everywhere

The TRANSFORMATES 變 project has a very strict diversity code. We have already released lots of songs featuring people, dogs and sheep (if you count the cute, gay, cross-dressing, sheep that featured in the ‘Pretty Boy Sally‘ video – see the blog here). Well now it is the time for cats to take centre stage (literally – as you will see in the video below).

After months of struggling to write the perfect lyrics I can finally say I achieved my goal. Clearly lines like ‘Join the fun and shake your pussy at the Xylo Disco‘ would have brought tears to the eyes of Keats or Shakespeare. Well boys – your sonnets were good – but step aside as I put myself in line for the next round of literary prizes.

For most artists simply penning the lyrics would have been sufficient achievement to guarantee their place in history but I decided to push myself just that bit further. I designed this piece of creative wonder to be played on the xylophone. Yes, while the Acid House mob are playing around with their electronic flatulent noises played backwards through reverb machines they have generally missed the disco sound of the next decade – the xylophone.

In the version of the single released as ‘Pussy Cats Xylo Disco‘ the Transformates 變 team cleverly managed to give the song an electro/techno feel whilst at the same time preserving the integrity of the Xylophonic pulsating rhythms. Gosh we even managed to squeeze in a trumpet to give it a street performance feel. If you would like to blow you mind take a look at the video below which also features some pretty nifty formation dance routines (no expense spared with this project!):

To download the single please search under ‘transformates’ with any respectable music supplier. The link for iTunes is here.

Clearly with lyrics like these this is probably going to become a classic on the English Literature curriculum of most educational institutes. therefore we have also gone to great expense to include the lyrics in the video (without spoiling the appearance of the sensual disco dancing team). This should help those who struggle to translate the southern English accent of the lead singer in this version.

As academics around the world start to dissect this masterpiece the question will arise: ‘How did such music evolve?’. To facilitate this research I have also released an earlier unplugged version which just features the sounds of myself and the raw xylophone. As with any classic hit a good song should stand on its own even if you take away the sophisticated electronic equipment found in a modern recording studio.

To avoid it being confused with the electro-techno version I simply called this raw edit ‘Xylo Disco (unplugged)‘ It is also available from all good record suppliers (the iTunes link is here). If you would like to sample this more laid back version I have included the video below (any resemblance of the vocals to Dean Martin is purely coincidental):

You are probably wondering what, after this artistic achievement, is left for the Transformates 變 project to do? Well we have some more pretty exciting numbers in the pipeline so watch this space. If you want to be kept informed you can subscribe to this blog or join our large group of followers on Facebook or Twitter. Alternatively you might just want to share your desires with your therapist and determine whether your health insurance will cover the cost of downloading TRANSFORMATES 變 music.

So, If you love pussy cats, know someone who does, or simply like the occasional cuddle with your favourite pussy why not treat yourself to a copy of ‘Pussy Cats Xylo Disco‘ (you don’t need to wait for Christmas!).
